Business Consulting

Virtual CFO, accounting and payroll support, business setup, project reports and funding.

Most of the businesses we work with do not need a finance department. They need the function to be reliable — books that close on the same date each month, payroll that runs without a reminder, dues paid before they fall due, and numbers a decision can be made on.

That is the recurring half of this practice. The other half is the set pieces: setting up the right entity, putting a project report in front of a lender, diligence before someone buys or invests, and the finance-side documents a funding round runs on.

None of this carries the reporting restrictions that attach to an audit. Where a piece of it would sit badly with the independence an audit requires, we say so before taking it on.

Who we act for

Owner-managed businesses

Where the finance function is one person and a spreadsheet, and month-end depends on somebody remembering.

Startups

DPIIT recognition, the deduction available to an eligible startup, share-option design, and funding documentation.

Businesses raising bank finance

Project reports, working-capital assessment, and the periodic statements a lender requires after sanction.

Buyers, sellers and investors

Financial and tax due diligence, and the numbers behind a valuation or a transaction document.

How we work

A fixed monthly close

The same closing date, reports and reconciliations every month, so a variance means something changed in the business.

Dues before dates

Provident fund, employees' state insurance, withholding tax and GST payments are scheduled ahead of the date.

Numbers that reconcile

Management reports tie back to the ledger and to what was filed, so the figure a lender sees is the figure in the return.

Handover documented

Processes, access and reconciliations are written down, so the work does not depend on one person's memory.

Governed by

Companies Act, 2013 and the LLP Act, 2008

Books of account, the form the financial statements take, and the records an entity must keep.

Accounting standards

Ind AS or Accounting Standards as applicable, which decide how a transaction is recognised and disclosed.

Labour and social security law

Provident fund, employees' state insurance, gratuity, bonus and the state Shops and Establishment Act.
